Support for Families and Parents
Supporting someone you love who experiences behaviours of distress can sometimes feel overwhelming. Whether these behaviours are happening at home, in education, within community settings, or during a longer-term hospital placement, it can be difficult to understand what is happening and know what support will make a meaningful difference.
At Lancashire Behaviour Support Consultancy, we work alongside families to better understand the reasons behind behaviours, focusing on the person rather than just the behaviour itself. We believe that every behaviour communicates something, and by understanding a person’s needs, environment, communication, health and experiences, we can help create more supportive and positive outcomes.
Our approach is collaborative, compassionate and evidence-informed. We work with families, schools, healthcare teams and support providers to develop strategies that promote understanding, dignity, independence and quality of life. You don’t have to navigate this journey alone. If you’re looking for support, guidance or a clearer understanding of what your loved one may be communicating through their behaviour, we’re here to help.
